You might mistake NYC for Sunnydale in the next week or so, with all the demons and other monsters lurking around. If you're as brave as Buffy Summers, you may want to check out some of these events, at your own risk, of course. Is that a stake in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? Nation's Largest Dog Halloween Parade

Catch canines in costume competing for thousands in prizes. Now you can really see if dogs look like their owners...

Housing Works Thrift Store Halloween Extravaganza

Candy and pumpkin decorating fun for the kids until 2 p.m. and then cocktails for the adults after 2 p.m. Includes free food and drinks from Whole Foods-don't forget to do some shopping for costumes and artist-designed pumpkins, it's all for a good cause!

Today will be the perfect day to visit the City of the Dead *insert shiver down your spine here.* The tour will cover the architecture and history of the cemetery and may include the graves of DeWitt Clinton, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Leonard Bernstein, and John "The Soda Fountain King" Matthews.
