Cheap Chick NYC, Cheap and Free Weekend Events, April 22-24, 2011

Friday April 22, 2011-Happy Earth Day!
The Municipal Arts Society is leading the Earth Day in Chelsea West Walking Tour today led by Matt Postal, architectural historian. “This tour focuses on a waterfront neighborhood with an intriguing past. Explore an exciting new section of Hudson River Park and the recently designated West Chelsea Historic District. We’ll address the area’s promise and potential, stopping to discuss the campus of the General Theological Seminary, the next stage of the High Line and the restored Starrett-Lehigh Building, a modern masterpiece.” 2 p.m., meet at the SE corner of 9th Avenue and 20th St., $15!

Watch the 80’s disco masterpiece Xanadu tonight as part of the Rubin Museum Art’s Cabaret Cinema program! 9:30 p.m., Rubin Museum of Art, 150 W. 17th St., at Seventh Ave., $7 bar minimum makes the movie free!
