Learn about the early history of the city with accounts of Peter Minuit’s purchase of the island and the adventures of Henry Hudson. Stops include the sites of Fort Amsterdam, Stuyvesant “White Hall,” Dutch City Hall, New Amsterdam’s first church, and Dutch Wallen on Wall St. The tour features a group guide system with audio clips from Russell Shorto author of The Island at the Center of the World, and national park historian Steve Laise.
