Hi all, Happy New Year!
I think I've decided that people will be too busy recovering from NYE to do much, but in case you can drag yourself out of bed you could watch the Polar Bears take an icy dip, attend mass at St. Patrick's, and check out marathon readings at the Bowery Poetry Club, and St. Mark's Poetry Project.
The Phaidon (arty-type coffee table books) Warehouse sale also starts today and runs through January 10. Mon.-Sat., 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sun., 9 a.m.-7 p.m. 100 Wooster St., bet. Prince & Spring.
You can also go on a Times Square Walking tour at 1 p.m. (meet at the southeast corner of 42nd Street & Sixth Avenue, at Bryant Park) for $15, or explore Flushing with a Koreatown walking tour at 1 p.m. (Meet at the eastern end (front, coming from Manhattan) of the Main St. station (#7 train) at the foot of the escalators. Do not exit in middle of platform!) also for $15, and don't forget on Sat. Jan 2, the Brooklyn Museum is free!
